Companion… Your Name Is Hope

Your name is Hope,

Though I might have called you Despair.

My steps were ever darkened

By a shadow where light shine nowhere.

A dark deeper than black,

A time more solemn than night,

This shade ever lingered–

My devout acolyte.

Come before me, sweet silhouette,

Or at the very least, stay by my side.

At my heels lay regrets,

A place where you should not hide.
